GBQ-SC or Size Control, is the IMPCO GBQ system coupled with in-process gauging to control the diameter size of bearing journals to within microns. It, like the GBQ system, is a patented process.

Manufacturers have found GBQ-SC to be the key to eliminating the variation in size among bearing journals, and the only viable process to hold diameter size stationary.

GBQ Size Control Microfinishing:

  • Transform size variation to size consistency

  • Eliminate the need for selective fittings of bearings.

  • Possibly eliminate the need for grinding a part after hard turning, turning, or milling

  • Provide statistical control of journal diameter size
