The cost effective 140-M meets low crankshaft production requirements while providing absolute flexibility. The Model 140-M Worlstar Microfinisher will process 2, 4, 6, or 8 cylinder crankshafts or camshafts. Journal spacing changes are set by the operator in the digital control panel. Bearing journals are microfinished with the "GBQ" process. The patented "GBQ" process uses non-resilient formed inserts backing the coated abrasive film. This process improves circular geometry up to 80% while generating surface finishes to .2um or less. Optional Tape Correction When production crankshafts do not meet the required tape specifications. The IMPCO taper control will correct this condition. Taper is inspected on an offline taper gage. The operator manually selects the position the taper is to be removed and starts the machine cycle.
