IMPCO Announces UK Rep., Licensee Lansing, MI - IMPCO Machine Tools, leading designer and builder of microfinishing machines and systems, has retained Neuteq Europe Ltd., Tamworth, Staffordshire, as its full-service sales representative and manufacturing licensee in Great Britain and Europe, according to David Houghton, IMPCO president. "IMPCO operates in a global market, and it is vital for successful customer support to have capable affiliates worldwide," Mr. Houghton said. For IMPCO in Europe, Neuteq will provide research & development, simultaneous engineering, prototype microfinishing, machine building, tryout and rebuilding plus spare parts and service. With customers in North and South America, Europe, and Asia, IMPCO also lists manufacturing licensees Nachi Fujikoshi in Japan and MK International in India. IMPCO microfinishing, a finer material removal process than grinding, is used to impart specific surface finish, geometry and size characteristics to load-bearing journals, such as those on camshafts, crankshafts and other precision shaft type parts.
